Originally founded in 1313 to welcome traveling clerics and pilgrims, this historic complex was managed in the 15th century by the famous Pievano Arlotto. Later, at the end of the 16th century, it was renovated by architect Giovan Antonio Dosio, who designed the striking pietraforte sandstone arches and towering ceilings that still frame the dining room today.
